Sobering Memorial Day annual event, La Porte PD SWAT remembering a military hero with the Murph Workout.

This morning, La Porte PD SWAT members and @Texas Made Boxing & Fitness athletes completed the Murph Workout. The Murph workout honors the life of Lieutenant Michael Murphy, who was killed in action in Afghanistan.

The Murph Workout is not just a physical test, but also a mental and emotional one. Participants are pushed to their limits and are encouraged to keep pushing through the pain and exhaustion, just as Lieutenant Murphy did during his final moments. The event is held annually on Memorial Day, and people from all over the world come together to honor Lieutenant Murphy and all those who have given their lives in service to our country. The Murph Workout is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our military and a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit.

The workout consists of a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, and 300 air squats, followed by another 1-mile run.

May we never forget the true meaning of Memorial Day.
