After completing the EMS course, the PPD cadets are now ready to tackle any medical emergency thrown their way.

The cadets completed the Emergency Medical Assistance course last week. This class provides training in life-saving medical interventions for trauma, cardiac, environmental, and other medical emergencies commonly encountered by first responders.

They spent time in the classroom reviewing topics such as CPR, bleeding control techniques, patient movement, and AED use in a cardiac event.

Cadets were taught about officer-down drills, mass casualty response, and other hands-on scenarios to equip them better to serve the citizens of Pasadena!
