The Pasadena Police Department Quality of Life Division has done it again!
Through constant collaboration between the police department, Clean Streets, Parks and Recreation, Street and Bridge, Sanitation, Pasadena Code Enforcement, and our Pasadena community, we are not just working together, we are also witnessing a transformation in the city. The dedication of our city departments and employees is evident in restoring the beauty of the city and ensuring the safety of our citizens.
In this particular incident, Patrol Officer C. Baker demonstrated exceptional initiative when he made contact with a subject wanted for parole violation and discovered that the subject had an encampment under the overpass at 6600 Spencer Highway. He promptly contacted the Quality-of-Life officers who later initiated clean-up procedures. Their efforts in removing the trash, debris, and unwholesome materials left behind by persons previously living under the overpass have transformed this area.
Quality of Life Officer W. Jones states, “I cannot express to you all how important it is for all of us (City of Pasadena) to continue to work together and meet this issue head-on to minimize this particular type of criminal activity.”
