Precinct 8, in partnership with the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), encourages all community members to participate in Gun Storage Check Week. This initiative, timed to coincide with National Suicide Prevention Month, is a vital reminder to review and secure your firearm storage practices. Proper storage can help prevent unwanted access and protect those who may be in crisis. To support safe firearm storage, our agency is handing out FREE gun locks at our Clear Lake station located at 16602 Diana Ln during normal business hours. These locks are provided by Project ChildSafe, a nationwide program dedicated to promoting firearm safety and responsible storage. The locks are available to anyone in our community.
