Precinct 8 Deputy Haroun’s traffic stop leads to an arrest of Jeremy the 🤡 with drug and cash seizure.

On September 23, 2024, Precinct 8 Deputy Haroun with Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office observed a red Dodge Charger traveling in the 14400 block of the Gulf Freeway. A check of the license plate revealed expired registration and no valid insurance. Deputy Haroun initiated a traffic stop and upon contact with the driver, detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The driver was identified as 36 year old Jeremy Dwayne Clemons. A check of Clemon’s information revealed an open felony warrant for Assault Family Violence/Impeding Breath through Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies conducted a probable cause based search of the vehicle and located a large sum of U.S. currency. Clemons was placed in custody and transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center where he was found to be in possession of 43.31 grams of methamphetamine. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted additional charges for Possession of Controlled Substance with a bond set at $20,000. The Asset Forfeiture division was contacted and accepted the seizure of the U.S. currency.
