Precinct 8 Deputies joined forces with NASA and local law enforcement in an active shooter training, enhancing safety protocols and coordination.

Precinct 8 Deputies were honored to participate in a joint active shooter training exercise hosted by NASA JSC Emergency Management at NASA Johnson Space Center. Deputies were joined by members of NASA JSC Security Police, NASA Fire Protection Specialists, NASA JSC Office of Protective Services, NASA JSC Officer of the Inspector General, Houston Police and Fire Department, Webster Police Department and Nassau Bay Police Department.

These collaborative trainings are crucial for active shooter events, as they train first responders in the immediate area to respond quickly, take action, and coordinate with other law enforcement agencies to provide medical tactical aid and rapid evacuation. Organized efforts like joint training are vital to our mission to enhance public safety and minimize casualties in an active shooter event.
