Precinct 2 deputies chased down a burglary 🤡 who fled a pub after startling employees during his ill-fated scheme.

Harris County Constable Precinct 2 Night Shift Deputies Arrest Suspect in Burglary and Evading Incident

The Harris County Constable Precinct 2 Office responded swiftly to a call for a burglary in progress at a local pub located in the 10900 block of Scarsdale Blvd. on December 21, 2024. Deputies were alerted after an employee of the establishment reported seeing a male inside the business.

Upon arrival, deputies quickly located a male in the parking lot. When deputies attempted to detain the individual, he fled on foot, initiating a brief but intense foot pursuit. Deputies were able to apprehend the suspect in a nearby neighborhood without further incident.

The suspect, later identified as Jalen Woods, was found to be the individual captured on surveillance footage inside the pub. Mr. Woods pried open an emergency exit door and attempted to cut open an entertainment game machine. The suspect was reportedly startled by the presence of employees, which led to his hasty retreat out the back door of the business.

After reviewing the details of the case, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted, and they authorized charges against Mr. Woods for Burglary of a Business and Evading Arrest on Foot. Woods was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center without incident.
