In memory of Deputy Vargas, PPD and the community unites to honor a brave hero whose legacy of service will forever shine brightly.

The Pasadena Police Department is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jesus “Jesse” Vargas, who was killed in the line of duty. Our hearts go out to his wife, their three children, loved ones, and his colleagues at the BCSO. Deputy Vargas’s selfless sacrifice in protecting the community will never be forgotten.

To honor and remember our fallen brother, the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office has set up a memorial outside their office at 3602 CR 45, Angleton, TX. They invite those who wish to pay their respects to visit the memorial during this difficult time.

We stand with the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office in mourning this tremendous loss and offer our deepest condolences. Rest in peace, Deputy Vargas.
