A vigilant citizen spotted a dangerous driver leading Precinct 2 Deputies to intervene and arrest the drunk for DWI and weapon charges.

Citizen Tip Leads to Safe Intervention 🚨
On June 11, 2025, Deputies with Harris County Constable Precinct #2 responded to a citizen’s report of a possible intoxicated driver. The caller observed a black truck failing to maintain a single lane while approaching the area.
Deputies quickly located the vehicle and observed several traffic violations, including failing to signal lane changes and driving on the shoulder. A traffic stop was initiated in the 8100 block of the South Sam Houston Tollway East.
The driver, identified as 42-year-old Juventino Duran, exhibited clear signs of intoxication. After conducting the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, deputies determined Mr. Duran was impaired and unfit to operate a motor vehicle safely.
During the investigation, deputies also discovered Mr. Duran was unlawfully carrying a weapon. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges for: Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon (UCW). Mr. Duran was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Harris County Jail.
👀 We extend our sincere thanks to the vigilant citizen who reported the dangerous behavior. Your awareness plays a vital role in protecting our roadways and community.
