In the quiet hours of the night, when most people are dreaming of tacos and retirement, two suspects had a not so brilliant idea: steal a truck.
Little did they know that Pasadena Police Officers were already watching from above—quietly following their every (“calculated”) turn with our drone.
The suspects cruised through neighborhoods like they were headed to Waffle House on a Sunday morning, completely unaware that units were closing in faster than a dad joke at a BBQ.
But just as they were ready to vanish into the night—BAM!—lights, sirens, and officers approached in unison like your favorite 80’s band reunion tour!
The suspects were placed into custody for their unwaffle [unlawful] acts of motor vehicle theft and drug related offenses.
Kudos to night shift patrol & the Auto Crimes Unit for the remarkable teamwork that resulted in the apprehension of these suspects!
