In Loving Memory of Donald Granberry
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pasadena Police Department Chaplain Donald Granberry.
Chaplain Granberry served as a local pastor for 35 years, beginning his preaching in 1990 and faithfully continuing his work until he was ordained in 1999 by the Assemblies of God.
From 2002 to 2014 his calling led him to Central Assembly of God Church on Crenshaw Road in Pasadena, TX where he served as the lead pastor.
While many in our department knew him through his work at local Pasadena churches, he officially joined the ranks of our Chaplain Corps in September 2017, serving our officers until his passing.
Our sincerest gratitude goes out to Chaplain Granberry for his love and commitment to our department and the entire Pasadena community. We were fortunate to have Chaplain Granberry present at our most important events and his words were always a gift of comfort, hope and strength.
He leaves behind a long legacy of service and will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched. We extend our deepest condolences to his wife and family, as they navigate through this difficult time.
Funeral services will be held at Grace Church Houston at 14505 Gulf Freeway on Saturday, June 28th. The visitation will begin at 10:00am with services immediately following at 11:00am.
Internment will be private.
