PPD is in contact Thaddeus Lewis who vanished from softball practices. They are now in search of parents who have been scammed by him.

**UPDATE**
We greatly appreciate the fervent response from the community and just wish to clarify about the information we are seeking in this post. We are in contact with Lewis and are not looking for help in locating him at this time. Currently, we are asking for any other persons who have fallen victim to a similar incident with Lewis, either this year or in past years, to please reach out and let Det. Satterwhite know the details of your experience.

We are seeking the public’s assistance in an ongoing investigation regarding a Facebook page setup for an 18U softball team. The coach, identified as Thaddeus Lewis, accepted fees for a softball team that he told parents would cover uniforms, practices and multiple tournaments. Following a few practices, Lewis failed to show up at or pay for any practices and tournaments. Lewis’s phone was ultimately disconnected, and the team’s Group Me was deleted, thus eliminating any communication with parents.

Based on information we have, we believe that Lewis has done the same thing in past years.

If you or someone you know has had a similar incident with Thaddeus Lewis, we encourage you to reach out to Detective Satterwhite and provide the details of your encounter.

See the attached photos of Lewis and the team logo.
