Outdoor Warning System Complete!
The City of Pasadena and our Office of Emergency Management are proud to announce the completion of our Outdoor Warning System project, featuring the installation of four additional sirens, bringing our total to 29 sirens citywide. Once construction is completed on the new Fire Station 6 (1200 Kirby), we will add a siren for enhanced coverage.
This system adds another critical layer to our emergency alert network, alongside our official social media platforms and the custom “ReadyPasadena” Multimedia Messaging System (MMS), which sends alerts directly to you. With this enhanced coverage, we are better equipped to notify our entire community in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.
To sign up for our “ReadyPasadena” alerts, text the keyword PTXREADY to 77295.
Reminder: Pasadena, Deer Park, and La Porte sirens will be simultaneously tested every Saturday at noon (12 p.m.) for 1 minute.
