Cops and Kids Make a Splash
On Friday, August 1, 2025, the La Porte community came together with their police department for the annual Cops and Kids Wave Pool Party at Little Cedar Bayou Wave Pool, and great fun was had by all.
Families from across the community dropped in to to cool off from the summer heat and enjoy an afternoon filled with laughter, music, and community connection. Children caught plenty of waves in the pool, danced to the beats of a live DJ, bounced in moonwalks, and enjoyed delicious pizza and sweet treats from Geliu Ice.
La Porte Police officers joined in on the fun, spending time with kids, taking photos, and showcasing police vehicles. The event was proudly supported by Beacon Federal Credit Union, whose members enjoyed spending time with the children and handing out lots of trinkets. As in previous years, the event continued to foster positive relationships between officers and their community in a relaxed, family-friendly, setting.
