Pasadena is teaming up with residents and businesses, using technology like a Security Camera Registry to make community safety a shared mission.

The Pasadena Police Department is always looking for ways to enhance community safety and improve our investigations through technology. By partnering with residents and businesses, we’re making Pasadena safer together.

We’ve launched a Security Camera Registry, which will allow residents and businesses to upload video footage that could assist our Department in gathering evidence, locating suspects, and potentially helping solve a crime.

This registration simply tells us that a camera exists on a particular street or in a specific neighborhood. If we need your assistance and see that you are registered, we will contact you via the information you provided upon registration. Then, we will ask that you review your footage for a certain time/date, and if you find any video that would benefit our investigation, you can choose (or not) to upload it to our secure portal.

There is no cost to register and remember — You decide if and when to share any video evidence. This program is confidential and secure. Together, we can utilize technology to build a stronger, safer Pasadena!
