A dummy 🤡 driver ignored commands, attempted to flee, and ultimately learned that resisting Precinct 2 deputies doesn’t end well.

During a routine traffic stop conducted by a night shift deputy, the driver exhibited hesitation when asked to provide identification. The deputy utilized a mobile Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) to verify the driver’s identity. Upon identification, it was discovered that the driver had an active warrant for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). Suspecting the driver was currently under the influence, the deputy requested that the driver perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs), to which the driver consented.
When deputies attempted to open the vehicle door to facilitate the driver’s exit, he refused to comply. The driver then started the vehicle, prompting the deputies to believe he might attempt to flee the scene. Deputies ordered the driver to exit the vehicle, warning that he would be tased if he did not comply. The driver continued to resist and refused to obey commands, at which point he was tased twice in order to gain compliance.
After the deployment of the taser, the driver was detained without further incident. He was subsequently transported to the Harris County Jail and booked without incident for the DWI warrant and for interference charges.
