On February 26, 2025, the Precinct 8 Street Crimes Unit (SCU) executed a search warrant in the 500 block of El Dorado Blvd. after a lengthy investigation regarding the sale of narcotics. The execution of the warrant led to evidence that resulted in a second search warrant being issued for a business in the 15500 block of State Hwy. 3.
In total, Deputies located approximately 100 pounds of Marijuana, 3 pounds of HASH, 2 pounds of THC WAX, 125 pounds of THC Gummies, and 3 Firearms. Additionally, $2,887.00 in US Currency was seized.
As a result of the findings associated with this case, 52-year-old Jason Ray Moreno was arrested for Felon in Possession of Handgun. Bond was set at $5000 in that case. Additional charges are pending (Felony Possession of Marijuana) once lab test results are confirmed on the narcotics recovered.
