On January 22, 2025, deputies responded to a burglary call where a homeowner reported that a male suspect had attempted to enter her residence. The suspect left the scene in a work van after apparently mistaking the homeowner’s property for his own.
Thanks to the homeowner’s detailed description, deputies quickly located the van just one block away. A male matching the description was identified as Alejandro De Santiago (DOB: 12/23/1983). Upon further investigation, Mr. De Santiago exhibited clear signs of intoxication. When asked to complete Standard Field Sobriety Tests, he refused.
Deputies transported Mr. De Santiago to the Harris County Joint Processing Center, where a blood warrant was obtained and executed. He was subsequently booked into the custody of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated.
We commend our deputies for their prompt response and the homeowner for their vigilance in providing crucial information. This collaboration highlights the importance of community involvement in keeping our neighborhoods safe.
Remember: If you see something, say something. Together, we can create a safer community for all.
