A vigilant Precinct 2 Deputy spotted a suspicious vehicle leading to locking up a human smuggler.

While driving on the southbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway frontage road at Monroe Road and having a green signal to enter the intersection, A deputy from Constable Jerry Garcia’s office, observed the suspect`s vehicle entering the intersection heading eastbound on Monroe Road. They initiated a traffic stop with the final stop location being Surrey Square Street and Monroe Road. They made contact with the driver and identified him by his Texas Identification Card. They conducted a warrant search through the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System and discovered the suspect to have an open warrant out of Uvalde County Texas for Smuggling of Persons. The suspect was detained, Harris County Constable Precinct Two Communications Division confirmed on the warrant, and the suspect was taken into custody. Our deputies do their best to keep the streets safe and sound for our residents in Pct. 2.
