An intoxicated 🤡 crashes into a garage wall, backs up to hit another vehicle, then flees. Not on Precinct 8 Deputy Bullock’s watch.

On July 17, 2024, Precinct 8 Deputy Bullock was dispatched to a disturbance in the 1400 block of El Camino Village Dr. The reporting witness stated they observed a vehicle crash into a garage wall. The vehicle proceeded to back up and struck a bystander’s vehicle causing further damage. The driver then exited the vehicle and went inside his apartment, failing to provide his information or render aid. Deputy Bullock arrived on scene and made contact with the suspect who was identified as 67 year old Mark Charles Mackey. Mackey displayed multiple signs of intoxication. Further investigation revealed Mackey’s blood alcohol content was .123 and .122.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted charges for Driving While Intoxicated and Fail to Stop and Give Information. Mackey was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center where his bonds were set at a total of $200.
