– Don’t give out your personal information to just anyone.
– Avoid carrying your social security card.
– Shred your documents.
– Ignore threatening calls and texts from criminals posing as IRS or Law Enforcement.
– Be aware of phishing emails and texts. Don’t click on the link when you get a notification for you to log in to verify your information. Verify that information separately by looking up the contact information yourself.
