In the early morning hours of July 4th, HCCO Precinct 2 Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white Mercedes-Benz SUV traveling at a high rate of speed on the South Sam Houston Tollway East in Houston, TX.

The driver, identified as Tamika Reed, 43, was observed going 81 mph in a posted 65 mph zone, with expired registration and unsafe lane changes. Upon contact, deputies multiple signs of intoxication.

Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted, and the driver exhibited several indicators of impairment. She was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. A blood warrant was obtained and executed, and Reed was later booked into the Harris County Joint Processing Center without incident.
