In a late-night traffic stop, Precinct 8 Deputies discovered a heavily intoxicated 🤡 with a history of bad decisions behind the wheel.

On May 21, 2025, at approximately 12:45 AM, Deputies D. Webber and H. Tamez conducted a traffic stop in the 9600 block of Clearwood Dr on a vehicle for expired registration. Deputies made contact with the driver, who was identified as 40-year-old Jose Oscar Baldazo Beaz of Mexico. While speaking with the driver, Deputies observed multiple signs of intoxication and multiple open alcoholic beverage containers in plain view inside the vehicle. Deputies administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and determined the driver was unable to operate the motor vehicle safely. Beaz consented to a breath test which showed him being more than three times the legal limit.

A check of Beaz’s criminal history showed him to have been previously convicted in 2014 for Driving While Intoxicated. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted the charge of DWI 2nd. Beaz was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center where he was booked in without incident.
