On February 5, 2024, Harris County Precinct Two Deputies were informed of a homeless encampment located near the 9700 block of Minnesota Street. Responding deputies conducted a welfare check and located individuals living in deplorable living conditions. Our deputies first priority was to assist those displaced and offered everyone help with resources to begin a process into transitional housing. In the course of identifying those on site, deputies learned one adult female had an outstanding warrant for prostitution out of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The adult female was subsequently arrested and transported to the Harris County Jail. Others on site chose to leave voluntarily without accepting assistance.
