Deputy K. Peters was on patrol in the area of the Gulf Freeway near Fuqua St. when he received an alert on a stolen Chevrolet Malibu passenger car in the area. Deputy Peters located the vehicle in the drive thru of a nearby Taco Bell. As the vehicle exited the line, Deputy Peters conducted a felony traffic stop and both the male driver and female passenger were detained.
The driver was identified as 33 year old Kyle Alexander Vanheynigen, a known gang member. It was discovered Vanheynigen had an open Parole Warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver. The passenger was identified as 31 year old Ashlyn Marie Seaton. A records check revealed Seaton was out on bond in Harris County and had open warrants out of Illinois for Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Forgery and Retail Theft. She was also found to have open warrants through Precinct 8.
The Malibu was confirmed to be stolen by the Houston Police Department and Vanheynigen was charged with Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle in addition to his open parole warrant. Seaton was arrested on her outstanding warrants. Both were booked into the Harris County Jail.
