LLPD: Center Point outage update and City Services notice in La Porte.

We are updating CenterPoint on continuing power outages. If your power is out, please re-submit it here: https://ow.ly/z1hU50SxW9K. Emergency Management would like to have an up to date status of current outages in La Porte.

In addition, if you have any damages, please submit those here: https://ow.ly/89kA50SxW9L and report it to the Texas Division of Emergency Management.

Essential City services, including Fire, EMS, Police, and garbage collection, will continue as usual. Non-essential services will be closed on Tuesday, July 9, and are scheduled to reopen with normal hours on Wednesday.

There will be a public cooling center open at the Jennie Riley Community Center, at 322 N. 4th Street, from 9:30 a.m.-9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9. Remember to keep family members and pets cool and hydrated, as today’s heat index may reach 105 degrees. Please use caution using generators.

Garbage pick-up will resume on Tuesday, July 9, with the following schedule adjustments:
• Addresses originally scheduled for Monday will be picked up on Tuesday.
• Addresses originally scheduled for Tuesday will be picked up on Wednesday.
• Regular pick-up schedules will resume on Thursday.

CenterPoint is addressing widespread outages and anticipates several days for full restoration. Please plan accordingly for the summer heat, ensuring everyone, including pets, stays cool and hydrated.
