Earlier today, Deputies with Harris County Precinct 8 Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office arrested a 44-year-old male for Criminal Trespass and Retaliation following an incident at The Home Depot located at 18251 Gulf Freeway.
At approximately 2:00 PM, Deputies Cartlidge and Crider were dispatched to the location in response to a report of a suspicious male urinating on rental trucks in the parking lot. The individual was also reported to have refused to vacate the premises after being asked by management.
Upon arrival, deputies located and detained the suspect, later identified as Heath Niemi. After reviewing the facts of the case, the Harris County District Attorney’s office accepted the charge of Criminal Trespass against Niemi.
While in custody and prior to transport to the Joint Processing Center, Niemi made a direct threat to kill one of the Deputies. In light of the threat, the DA’s office was contacted again, and Retaliation charges were added to Niemi’s case. No bonds have been set in these cases as of yet.
