There were roughly 104 pills inside the bottle, and the pills were identified as “Gabapentin.” The subject was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance – Penalty Group 5.

*On Sunday, May 25th, at approximately 2:15 AM, Officers initiated a traffic stop in the 11900 block of W Fairmont for an observed traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle was unable to provide proof of financial responsibility and could only provide a Texas ID card. The driver did have an active Felony warrant for Family Violence Assault – Impeding Breath. The driver was arrested on the active Felony warrant.

*On Sunday, May 25th, at approximately 3:35 AM, Officers were dispatched to the Dollar General located at 10405 W Fairmont in reference to an alarm. Officers arrived and found that the front glass door of the business was shattered. Officers saw a male inside the business sitting on the desk of the checkout area. The subject complied with the Officers’ verbal commands and exited the business. No other subjects were located inside the store. The suspect (juvenile) told Officers he broke into the building by throwing a rock at the front glass door. He said he went inside, used the restroom, and then took some food and drink from the refrigerator section. He said his intentions were to break into the store to steal a snack. Officers saw a rock inside the building and an open drink/snack near the area where the male was sitting when Officers arrived. Surveillance footage from the store confirmed the juvenile’s account. The HCDAO was contacted and the Felony charge of Burglary of a Building was accepted. The juvenile was arrested and later released to a responsible party.

*On Sunday, May 25th, at approximately 5:04 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of N 146 in reference to a possible assault. Officers arrived and met with a Port of Houston Police Officer who told Officers he saw a woman, later identified as the victim of the assault, run into the road as he was driving by. The Port Police Officer contacted the woman, and she told the Port Police Officer her boyfriend had assaulted her. The male subject was also on scene and the Port Police Officer detained the male subject. The La Porte Officer spoke with the female subject and saw a visible red mark on the right side of her face, with bruises on both wrists, and a bruise on her left thigh. The female said the assault took place in the 100 block of N 76th Street in Houston when the female tried to exit the vehicle being driven by her boyfriend (suspect). The two were arguing because the suspect was drinking and driving. When the female tried to exit the car, the suspect pulled her back in by her hair. As the two struggled, the suspect pulled her by her wrist and put his knee on her. The female also said the suspect slapped her in the face with an open hand. The female went on to say that the suspect had hit her before this latest incident. Officers then contacted the male suspect, and after being issued his Miranda warning, the suspect denied hitting her or pulling her hair. He did say the two were arguing, but claimed it was because she accused him of infidelity. When questioned as to how they arrived in La Porte, the suspect said he “just began driving.” Officers contacted the Harris County Constable’s Office in Precinct 6, the location where the offense occurred, but they declined to respond to the scene. Officers contacted the HCDAO, and a charge of Felony Family Violence Assault – One Prior Conviction was accepted.
