During a recent kayak trip, we spotted this majestic bald eagle perched high in a tree overlooking the bayou. America’s national symbol is also a skilled hunter, with eyesight sharp enough to spot prey from over a mile away.
It’s an incredible sight and a powerful reminder of one of conservation’s greatest success stories, their comeback from the brink of extinction. The next time you’re on the water, remember to look up. You never know what wild wonders are watching from above. 🌿Video and photos by Stacy Holcomb.
