On a routine Sunday patrol, a vigilant Precinct 2 deputy discovered more than just bad driving.

On Sunday, December 29, 2024, a Harris County Constable Precinct 2 District Patrol Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle failing to maintain a single lane on the south bound main lanes of 8400 Gulf Freeway. The deputy smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana from inside the vehicle and a search was conducted. One tablet of Xanax was found as well as a vape possibly containing THC. The Harris County District Attorney’s office was contacted in the charge of possession of controlled substance was accepted on #compassionintegrityhonor Hector Diaz Aguilar. The vape will be tested with possible charges in the future. All individuals are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
