Synopsis: It has been ten years since the last reunion of five women, friends since high school, who call themselves the Crazy Ladies. Menopause has arrived this time around and the ladies are crazier than ever! They find that they have been lured to a motel by a kidnapper who has seriously underestimated his prey. What was supposed to be a relaxing Girls Weekend quickly devolves into hysterical madness and mayhem as the women seize control of the situation AND conspire with the kidnapper to orchestrate the spur-of-the-moment wedding of one of the Crazy Ladies: the hot-headed, gun-toting, chocoholic, tom-boy with a propensity to overact to EVERYTHING!
ABOUT YAW: The Young Actors Workshop offers a summer training experience in the art and craft of acting. Young actors have the opportunity to learn the skills of building characters and expressing interior emotions physically and vocally. Each group will go through the rehearsal process and perform their production on the main stage. Students discover not only how to express themselves individually but also how to work as an ensemble, gaining valuable leadership skills while having fun and making friends. This year, the workshop will study the play Rotten Apples, written by Tracy Wells and presented by Playscripts. Workshop and the play will be co-directed by Kathy Pero & Leona Harrison.
Workshop sessions for all ages will be held at Pasadena Little Theatre July 7th through July 17th 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Performances of “Rotten Apples” Friday, July 18th at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19th at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20th at 2:00 p.m.

Congratulations to Raffle Basket Winner Cori Harbour, announced this afternoon during intermission of the final performance of “Four Old Broads on the High Seas.” A big thank you to all of the patrons who entered the fundraiser raffle during the run of the show.
URGENT DONATION NEED: * The upcoming production of “Menopause Made Me Do It!” is in need of a small bank of 3 or 4 upper and lower kitchen cabinets (similar to the ones pictured). * The style and color do not matter at all, as they will most likely get painted over to match the rest of the set, as long as one upper cabinet door and one lower drawer works reliably. * An outright donation to the production is preferable, but a small fee is not out of the question. * Arrangements can be made for drop-off to the theatre or pick-up within a reasonable distance. * Cabinets are needed within the next 2 weeks. * Please contact the show’s director, Danny Seibert, directly via DM or [email protected] if you or someone you know could help with this urgent need.

Join Us for a Play Reading of New Work “Living With the Living” by Matthew Carlin
This Saturday, May 3, 2024 2:00 – 5:00 pm
PLT Black Box Studio
You loved his two plays “The Education of Angels” and “A Little Piece of Heaven” staged last year during our 69th Season. Come join us as Matthew Carlin presents a reading of his new work, “Living With the Living.” A talk-back discussion with the playwright will follow to allow the audience to provide their direct feedback. Come be an exciting part of the creative process with one of PLT’s favorite local playwrights!
ABOUT THE PLAY: When the only living relative of the Hunt family inherits the mansion that has been in the family for over a century, there are some stipulations. For instance, he must spend the night there and it must be downstairs in the living area. An overly aggressive female real estate agent tries right away to push for the sale of the property, doing a bit of flirting as she does. She believes there is a hidden treasure in the house, and she wants it! The heir holds off, trying to honor the family’s wishes after learning that the original owners were murdered in the house more than a century ago. The ghosts of those owners, however, are still there (though they prefer the term spirits); but something went wrong for their murderer, so they must relive the event over and over and over again.. each time in a new and hilarious manner. Add to that the heir, being the last living relative, is the only one that can actually see and communicate with their spirits, which leads to some unusual goings-on.
