Pasadena Little Theatre rolls out the red carpet for local script submissions.

OPEN CALL FOR SCRIPT SUBMISSIONS:
— Submissions for short scripts are now being accepted for consideration for this year’s Short Attention Span Series, Vol. 2, our annual festival of shorts, in the Black Box Studio Theatre at PLT in March 2027.
— Original works by local playwrights are STRONGLY encouraged.
— All selected short works will be featured in a fully staged showcase staged troupe-style by a cast of 6-8 actors, led by a collaboration of 2-3 directors.

REQUIREMENTS:
— All submissions must have a run time of no longer than 10 – 15 minutes.
— There is no limit to the number of characters a script can include. However, due to limited stage space, scenes should feature no more than 4 actors on stage at one time.
— Pertain to this year’s theme of “Love and Relationships: Remix” with an emphasis on new beginnings, starting over and second chances.
— Adult content & language, LGBTQIA+ themes & content, non-mainstream theatre genres (farce/satire/absurdism, etc.) are all welcome.
— Only royalty-free submissions will be accepted at this time. Playwrights submitting an original short work will be entitled to two (2) comp tickets to a single performance of SASS, Vol. 2.
