Police Chief Jerry Wright celebrated Ricky Bryant’s retirement, honoring his incredible 35 years of dedicated service and cheerful impact across Pasadena’s departments.

Police Chief Jerry Wright attended the retirement celebration of Ricky Bryant, marking the end of a remarkable 35-year career with the City of Pasadena. From the moment Ricky began his journey in the Street & Bridge department on March 7, 1990, to his final day in Janitorial on March 31, 2025, he brought dedication, integrity, and a strong work ethic to every role he held.

Ricky’s path through the City took him across multiple departments, where he left a lasting impact each step of the way. He served in Street & Bridge from 1990 to 2004, then brought his skills to Engineering, Clean Streets, Property Management/Landscaping, Building Maintenance, and finally to Janitorial, where he spent the final 11 years of his service. No matter the title or task, Ricky consistently approached his work with a helpful spirit and a positive attitude.

His commitment to excellence did not go unnoticed. Ricky was known for always going the extra mile and for making sure the Police Department always looked its best; whether it was ensuring the facilities were spotless or lending a hand wherever needed, Ricky’s presence made a difference.

Now, as he steps into retirement, Ricky is looking forward to spending more time with his family and finally getting to travel—something he has long looked forward to. His legacy of service and positivity will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of working with him.
