Please join us in congratulating Officer Brian Kelldorf Sr. on his retirement!
Brian Kelldorf Sr. was born in September 1965, in Memphis, TN, and later moved to Houston, TX in 1968. He graduated from North Shore High School in 1985 and eventually found himself in Pasadena, TX, where he joined the Pasadena Police Academy’s 46th class on March 4, 1996.
Officer Kelldorf worked his first 4 years on Night Shift Patrol before moving to Day Shift Patrol in 2000. He became CIT (Crisis Intervention Training) certified and went on to teach CIT at the Houston Police Academy, working alongside Director Moira Delgado from MHMR (Harris County Mental Health and Mental Retardation).
After a brief stay at the Academy, he transferred to the Computer Division, where he spent the next few years doing computer and radio support. Just before the new police station opened, he transferred back to patrol and then moved to the Property Room, where he helped with the transition to the new facility. Officer Kelldorf ultimately finished his career working Day Shift Patrol.
Officer Kelldorf is a recipient of The 100 Club Award for saving a drowning child. He has also been named Officer of the Week by Houston radio station 93Q and Officer of the Month by the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce. He has received a Meritorious Service Ribbon, Dayshift Unit Citation, and Community Impact Award from various department Chiefs.
Despite his love for this career, Brian has been planning and looking forward to retirement, preparing to celebrate life with family and friends. Brian and his wife have plans to relax on cruises and travel to see various parts of the world.
