Oh, look who it is – what a wonderful treat!
We brought some good stories and friends to meet!
The Officers showed up, they’re here; hoo-ray,
To read to the children on this special day.
And who else was there with a wag and a grin?
JJ of course! Let the fun begin!
JJ sat still as the kids gathered near,
He was excited for all the stories they’d hear.
He sat so quiet as the kids read aloud,
They were all so smart; this made him so proud!
He watched their fingers raise up really high,
They booped all the snoots pointed up toward the sky.
So he stuck his nose straight up high in the air
And his snoot got booped by these booper extraordinaires!
The class was filled with giggles and laughter
And together they read the book’s final chapter.
We all said goodbye, but please have no fear,
Read Across America will be back next year!
