PPD heartwarming reunion with a retired officer’s wish leads to surprise from Assistant Chief Dombrowa.

The Pasadena Police Department was honored to receive a visit from Retired Sergeant McCreight. A graduate of Pasadena Police Academy Class #19, Sergeant McCreight had a remarkable career in which he served as the department’s helicopter pilot and later became a pilot instructor. Sgt. McCreight flew numerous missions, including a notable 24-hour flight to Florida. During his visit, Sergeant McCreight made one heartfelt request: to reclaim his hat badge, #92, assigned to him during his service. This badge, a powerful symbol of his dedication and commitment, holds a special place in his heart. Without hesitation, Assistant Chief Dombrowa made this happen, and together with Chief Wright, they were happy to surprise Sergeant McCreight with his badge. We always enjoy reconnecting with our retired brothers and sisters in blue, and we are deeply grateful for Sergeant McCreight’s service and lasting impact on our department.
