PPD media release about the shooting and apparent murder inside Bubba’s 33 July 11th.

On July 11, 2025, around 8:13 p.m., multiple 911 calls reported a shooting at Bubba’s 33, located at 3221 Beltway 8 Hwy NB. Responding authorities found one individual who had been shot and later succumbed to his injuries. A second victim, an employee of the restaurant, was struck by a stray bullet and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. They were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Following the shooting, several patrons tried to apprehend the suspect but were unable to detain him before he fled the scene in a vehicle. Early investigations suggest the suspect and the initial victim were known to each other, and there is currently no ongoing threat to the public. Pasadena Police Department
