PPD Officer Adams is on a mission to educate high schoolers about the dangers of drunk driving.

Every day, around 37 people in the United States die in drunk-driving crashes — that’s approximately one person every 39 minutes.

Last week, Officer Adams visited students at San Jacinto Community College to teach a class about the effects of drinking and driving and DWI enforcement to their National Summer Transportation Institute (NSTI) Summer Camp Program.

The National Summer Transportation Institute (NSTI) is a three-week camp for high school students from incoming freshmen through seniors. Each week, they focus on a specific area of transportation—land, water, or air—with field trips, presentations, and projects related to a variety of careers in each area.

We are grateful for Officer Adams’ eagerness to raise awareness about the fatal dangers of drinking and driving in our community.
