This morning, we celebrated Alexander Dixon’s promotion to the rank of Sergeant.
Alex’s journey in public service began in 2015 as a firefighter and EMT with the City of Conroe. His dedication to serving the community was evident, and after three years, he chose to continue his service by attending and graduating from the 75th Pasadena Police Academy in 2018.
Spending most of his time on evening shift patrol, he was selected as a field training officer in 2021 and proudly served in this position for the last three years. During this time, Alex completed a rotation with the Auto Crimes Unit, which enhanced his investigative abilities and provided additional value to his peers on patrol.
Alex has always felt his calling was to pursue a leadership role. His dedication to mentoring, teaching, and fostering a positive team environment has set the foundation for his success and is an example for us all.
Alex emphasizes the importance of his faith and credits his loving wife, Caitlin, for her unconditional support and encouragement throughout this journey. He expressed gratitude to the Pasadena Police Department and shared his favorite piece of advice he has been given as he begins his new role, “Walk in humility.”
