PPD stats transforms dedication into results for a safer and thriving environment for all.

Our dedicated Police Officers and Support staff work hard every day to fight crime and serve the community. This includes a 9% reduction in overall crime over the past six years, with a notable 12% drop in non-violent crime and 6% drop in violent crime in the past year alone. Lower violent and non-violent crime rates reflect the Department’s commitment to a safer Pasadena. I want to thank Mayor Jeff Wagner for steadfastly supporting the Department and always keeping Public Safety among his highest priorities. I also want to thank our Council members for their support. And thank you, Pasadena! It takes an entire village to keep a community safe, and strong partnerships built over many decades have made a real difference. However, none of it would have been possible without the dedicated men and women of the Department protecting and serving our community each day. If our current police academy class of 21 cadets graduated today, our total number of police officers would be well over 300 – a number Mayor Wagner has advocated for since the day he took office. Thank you, Mayor and Council, and thank you to our amazing Pasadena Police Department staff.
