Precinct 2 busted Anthony ripping down the road at 100 MPH and learned the hard way that drinking and driving don’t mix well.

On Sunday, March 2, 2025, at approximately 5:47 AM a Sgt. with Constable Jerry Garcia’s office, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding over 100 MPH in a 60 MPH zone in the 8500 block of the Gulf Freeway southbound way southbound main lanes, Houston, Harris County. Upon making contact with the driver, he observed signs of intoxication, including red, bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. The driver, identified as Anthony James, admitted to consuming beer. Based on his observations, he placed Mr. James under arrest for suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and transported him to the South Houston Police Department. A breathalyzer test was administered. Mr. James provided breath samples of 0.141 and 0.133 BAC, both above the legal limit of 0.08 BAC. The suspect was charged with misdemeanor DWI.
