Addressing Homelessness and Soliciting in Our Community

Harris County Constable Precinct 2 remains committed to addressing homelessness and soliciting issues within our precinct with both compassion and accountability. Today, our deputies responded to several calls for service involving these concerns:

๐Ÿ“ 8600 Block of Glen Valley Dr
Deputies encountered a male seeking shade on private property. Assistance was offered but declined. The individual was cooperative and left the location voluntarily after being advised.

๐Ÿ“ 10500 Gulf Freeway
Deputies encountered a male seeking on private property. Assistance was offered and accepted the male was transported by deputies to the Harris County Diversion Center for support and services.

๐Ÿ“ 10800 Hughes Rd
A male was observed soliciting in the roadway, creating a traffic hazard. He refused offered services and was cited for soliciting in a roadway.

We continue to respond swiftly and appropriately, offering resources where possible and taking enforcement action when necessary to maintain the safety and well-being of our community.
