Precinct 2 deputies caught a 22-year-old 🤡 car driver, Brandon battling sobriety after a curb jump and sign collision.

On Monday, January 27, 2025, evening shift patrol deputies while on active patrol observed a vehicle in smoke near the northbound service road of the 11200 block of Gulf Fwy.

Deputies made contact with the male driver who eyewitnesses stated that they had observed the male exiting the main lanes of Gulf Fwy onto the service road jumping the curb and striking the exit sign, which was observed a few feet away from the male’s vehicle. The male driver was later identified as 22-year-old Brandon Mendoza. Upon further investigation, Brandon displayed several signs of intoxication. Brandon refused the standard Filed Sobriety Test (SFST) and was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center where a blood warrant was executed for the withdrawal of his blood. Brandon was booked into jail without an incident.
