On January 22, 2025, deputies with the Harris County Constable Precinct Two Office responded to a request for assistance from the Houston Police Department. HPD had detained an individual but needed help verifying his identity.
Our deputies arrived on the scene and utilized the Mobile Automatic Fingerprint Identification System (Mobile AFIS) to identify the detained individual as Juan Reyes, a white male born on May 6, 1999. During this process, deputies discovered that Mr. Reyes was wanted by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office on an active warrant for “Failure to Identify as a Fugitive.”
Deputies confirmed the warrant was valid, took custody of Mr. Reyes, and transported him to the Harris County Joint Processing Center without incident.
This successful collaboration highlights the importance of technology and inter-agency cooperation in ensuring public safety. Great job to all involved in safely bringing this fugitive into custody!
