On April 14, 2025, deputies with Constable Jerry Garcia’s Patrol Division responded to a Theft Call at Pet Place on Beamer Rd. Upon arriving on scene an investigation was started after it was learned that several puppies were stolen. During this investigation deputies immediately began to follow leads and were able to identify some possible suspects. It was also learned that this story had been shared by Grizzy Hood News, and was drawing a lot of attention on the possible identities of the suspects through surveillance footage of the incident.
With the assistance of Grizzy’s Social Media Platform, deputies were able to confirm the identity of several of the suspects. At this time the District Attorney’s Office was contacted, and accepted Felony Theft Charges on the following individuals: 31 year old Carmen Montes, 18 year old Elmer Velasquez, and 19 year old Destiny Estrada. At this time Felony Warrants were filed on all three individuals. Upon the three being identified, they all chose to turn themselves in for these open warrants since the posting of this story, and the stolen puppies were safely returned. Constable Garcia wants to personally thank the public’s assistance, and Grizzy’s Hood News for helping in identifying these suspects. Please stay safe and God Bless.
