On November 5, 2024, Precinct 8 Deputies with the Street Crimes Unit received an anonymous tip of a vehicle trafficking narcotics. The vehicle was located and stopped on IH 45. While conducting an investigation, Precinct 8 K9 Max alerted on the vehicle. Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and located 10 kilograms of methamphetamine. The narcotics appeared to be covered by soap in attempt to mask the odor. One suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center. The suspect’s information is being withheld at this time due to an ongoing investigation.
