Precinct 8 Deputy Cartlidge caught a speedy motorcycle 🤡 in a school zone, narrowly avoiding disaster, leading to a reckless driving charge.

This afternoon, at approximately 3:00 PM, Deputy O. Cartlidge with Constable Phil Sandln’s Office was monitoring traffic in a school zone in the 3300 block of El Dorado Blvd. when he observed a red and black motorcycle traveling at a very high rate of speed entering the school zone. The rider aggressively braked to reduce speed and narrowly avoided a collision with another vehicle. Deputy Cartlidge was was able to lock in the motorcycle’s speed on LIDAR at 50 MPH in the 20 MPH zone (even after hard braking). The motorcycle rider then accelerated at a very high rate of speed while still in the school zone. The motorcycle was eventually stopped at Clear Lake City Blvd. and El Dorado Blvd. The driver was identified as 19 year old Spencer Domin. The Harris County District Attorney’s office was contacted and accepted a charge of Reckless Driving on Domin. He was booked into the Harris County Joint Processing Center where he is awaiting arraignment on the charge.
