On Thursday, May 29, 2025, at approximately 5:56 p.m., Deputy Cartlidge with the Harris County Constable’s Office observed a black 2007 Hyundai Sonata traveling with an expired and illegal temporary tag in the 10500 block of the Gulf Freeway.
Deputy Cartlidge initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Taylor Renteria, 30, of Pasadena. During the encounter, Deputy Cartlidge requested and was granted consent to a search of the vehicle. During this search, Deputy Cartlidge located a substance appearing to be methamphetamine and a large pipe consistent with those used to smoke methamphetamine.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted a felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Renteria was booked into the county jail without incident.
