Precinct 8 Deputy Cartlidge’s routine patrol turned into a chase when a Allan the 🤡 tried to evade arrest.

On May 4, 2025, at approximately 1541 hours, Deputy Cartlidge with the Harris County Precinct 8 Constable’s Office was patrolling in the 300 block of Edgebrook Dr. when he observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn. Deputy Cartlidge initiated a stop on a vehicle, and upon contact, the driver identified himself by name and date of birth. A records check did not return any valid results. While Deputy Cartlidge was in his vehicle attempting to confirm this subject’s ID, the driver sped away from the scene. A short pursuit ensued and came to a safe end approximately ¼ mile away near the subject’s home, with the assistance of a wrecker driver who heard the call and was able to block the roadway to prevent further escape.

After employing a mobile (AFIS) unit, the driver was finally identified as Allan Cuz-Socal, 19, of Pasadena, TX. A subsequent records check revealed that Cuz-Socal had an active arrest warrant issued by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The HCSO was contacted, and the warrant was confirmed to be valid. Cuz-Socal was immediately placed into custody.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted the charge for Felony Evading.

Cuz-Socal was transported to the Harris County Jail and booked without incident.
