PUBLIC RELEASE
On March 1, 2025, at approximately 3:44 PM, Deputies with Precinct 8 Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked and running in the 15700 block of Dunmoor Drive, located in Houston, Harris County, Texas.
The complainant advised that a black male driving a grey Honda with a New Jersey temporary license plate was observed getting out of his vehicle opening mailboxes and returning to his vehicle, appearing to have taken mail from their neighbor’s mailbox.
Upon arrival, Deputy C. Crider located the vehicle and made contact with the driver, who was identified as Oluwarotimi Oshungboye (20 years old) of Spring, TX.
Deputy Crider conducted a consent search of Oshungboye’s vehicle and located his wallet, which contained a fictitious Texas Driver’s license displaying Oshungboye’s photograph but with a different name, date of birth, and driver’s license number.
Deputy Crider located multiple lock-picking tools inside the vehicle as well. Oshungboye was discovered to be out on bond at the time of the offense through Montgomery County for Solicitation of Prostitution.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and charges against Oshungboye were accepted for Tampering with a Government Document for the fraudulent driver’s license, but charges were declined for Possession of Burglary Tools and Fictitious Registration. Oshungboye was booked into the Harris County Jail without incident. His bond was later set at $100.
